Its 78-inch inside width, 29.5-cubic-foot struck capacity, and 35.7-cubic-foot SAE heaped capacity make it a practical choice for demanding loading and material-handling work. Heavy 1/4-inch bucket material, 1/4-inch end plates, a reinforced top lip, and a substantial 3/4-by-6-inch beveled cutting edge provide strength for regular loader use.

Built for High-Volume Material Handling

The MBHV78HD has a 36-inch bucket depth and 30-inch height, providing the volume needed to move larger quantities per pass. Its reinforced round back and reinforced end plates add structural strength while promoting easy filling and cleanout. Tapered, self-cleaning end plates help reduce material buildup, making the bucket well suited to repeated loading cycles.

A flat upper surface acts as a convenient level indicator, helping the operator judge bucket position during use. The reinforced top lip strengthens a critical area of the bucket, while the beveled cutting edge supports effective material entry. The bucket is also drilled to accept a standard bolt-on cutting edge, allowing the wear surface to be equipped for the intended application.

Cutting Edge and Tooth Options

The standard bucket incorporates a 3/4-by-6-inch beveled cutting edge and is drilled for a bolt-on cutting edge. Available options include 3/4-by-6-inch and 3/4-by-8-inch double-bevel cutting edges supplied with bolts and nuts. A 3/4-by-6-inch single-bevel serrated cutting edge is also available for applications where a serrated profile is preferred.

For more aggressive material engagement, the bucket can be equipped with optional RTMBK knock-on ripper teeth. These teeth use weld-on adapters and flex pins. Optional cutting edges and teeth are separate configurations and should be selected according to the intended material and operating conditions.

Compatibility

This bucket is configured with the HLA BO500 quick-attach mounting plate. HLA uses the BO500 mounting code for multiple loader models, so exact carrier and loader compatibility must be confirmed using the machine model before ordering.
