Designed for Swale Shaping and Grading

Unlike a conventional flat-bottom bucket, the SBSW48 uses a V-bottom design to shape shallow drainage swales as material is cut, carried and placed. This profile makes it a practical attachment for creating or maintaining surface-drainage channels, contouring landscaped areas and performing general grading around properties, worksites and agricultural areas.

The bucket has a 4-inch swale depth and a 9.5-cubic-foot struck capacity. Its standard-model dimensions are 30 inches deep and 17 inches high, providing a useful combination of material capacity and visibility for controlled grading work. The flat top also serves as a level indicator, helping the operator judge bucket position while shaping or finishing the work area.

Durable Bucket Construction

The SBSW48 is constructed with 3/16-inch bucket material and 1/4-inch end plates. A reinforced top lip supports the upper edge of the bucket, while the round-back profile contributes strength and helps material move smoothly into and out of the bucket.

At the working edge, a 3/4-by-4-inch beveled cutting edge is designed to engage soil and other grading material. This substantial edge supports cutting, shaping and finishing operations while providing a defined contact point along the bucket’s 48-inch inside width.
