Description

The HLA Attachments DE3PH49 Double Three-Point Hitch Bale Spear is a two-tine attachment built for hay and bale handling with Category I or Category II three-point-hitch tractors. Its two 49-inch Kverneland tines provide 44 inches of usable length, while a rated capacity of 2,000 lb at a 24-inch load center supports demanding bale-moving applications. The attachment also incorporates a Reese receiver/ball-hitch receiver for added utility; the ball hitch is not included.

Double-Tine Bale Handling

The DE3PH49 uses a double-tine configuration to engage and carry bales. Both Kverneland tines measure 49 inches in total length, with 44 inches available as usable tine length. This configuration provides two points of bale engagement in a purpose-built three-point-hitch attachment.

With an approximate attachment weight of 117 lb, the DE3PH49 delivers a 2,000 lb rated capacity when the load is positioned at a 24-inch load center. Operators should use this load-center rating when determining whether the attachment is appropriate for a particular bale-handling task.

Three-Point-Hitch Compatibility

The HLA Attachments DE3PH49 fits both Category I and Category II three-point hitches. This dual-category compatibility allows the bale spear to be used with tractors equipped with either supported three-point-hitch category, subject to the tractor’s own operating limits and hitch configuration.

Integrated Receiver

In addition to its bale-handling tines, the attachment includes a Reese receiver/ball-hitch receiver. This integrated receiver expands the attachment’s utility for applications requiring a compatible ball-hitch setup. A ball hitch is not supplied and must be obtained separately if required.
